Terms & Conditions


1.1 in this Agreement, we are Meridian Security Systems of 67 New Road Side, Horsforth, Leeds, LS18 4JX and you are the person detailed on the Order Forms.

1.2 Our Agreement is made on the date we deduct payment from your credit card, debit card, Amazon or PayPal account. Details of which you provided on the Order Form.

1.3 Our Agreement includes all correspondence from us to you and the descriptions of the Goods as provided by us on our Website or otherwise.


2.1 Browse our Website and select your chosen products, complete the Order Form in full and follow the instructions detailed on the Website.


3.1 We may acknowledge receipt of your order on our website or by email. This is not our acceptance of your order, but confirmation that it has been received, and that we have deduct the price payable for your chosen products from your nominated credit card, debit card, Amazon or PayPal account. 

Occasionally an error may occur and Goods may be incorrectly priced in which circumstances the Seller will not be obliged to supply the Goods at the incorrect price, but will inform the Buyer of the correct valid price to enable to buyer to re-order is they wish to do so.

Please note that completion of the online checkout process does not constitute our acceptance of your order. Our acceptance of your order will take place only when we dispatch the product(s) or commencement of the services that you ordered from us. 

3.2 If your chosen products are in stock your Order will be processed and should be despatched to you within 48 - 72 hours. Please be aware that we can only deliver to the confirmed billing address if the order is placed using PAYPAL.

We aim to process each order as quickly as possible. Each order is passed through a security check to help protect ourselves and our customers from fraudulent activity. If an order is marked as a potentially high-risk transaction we may contact you to request further information from you regarding your address. Once this information is received the order will be processed efficiently. To help avoid this issue, please ensure that when you are entering your address details for your credit or debit card, your billing address for the card matches the billing address you have entered on our website.

If orders do not pass our payment checks there is a chance they will be cancelled or refunded.

**PLEASE NOTE: If your billing address is in a country that is not listed on the places we deliver to then we will be unable to process your order. In this situation, we suggest using PayPal or Amazon to complete the payment for your order. Please ensure your delivery address is confirmed in PayPal.

 3.3 In the unlikely event that you have not received your order within 10 days of us confirming their availability to you, please contact our customer service team to let us know so that we can investigate with the courier. (Non-UK mainland orders allow up to 20 days). You will then be given the choice of:

3.3.1 cancelling your order whereupon we will refund the Price you paid.

3.3.2 wanting a further agreed time period, after which if your chosen products have not been received then option 3.3.1 will be available to you.

3.4 Should you choose option 3.3.1 then your refund will be made to the credit card, debit card you nominated on your Order Form or Amazon or PayPal account used when placing the order.

3.5 Meridian Security may cancel the order if:

3.5.1 If the goods you have ordered are unavailable for any reason. 

3.5.2 One or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.

3.6 We will deliver the good ordered by you to the address you give us for delivery at the time you make the order. If paying via PayPal please ensure that you check delivery details are correct.  All parcels are despatched on a signed for service, we recommend you do not change this. If you wish to do so Meridian Security do not take responsibility for lost items.

3.6.1 Dispatch times may vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are limited to mainland UK and subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible.


4.1. You may return the products to us where upon receipt of the goods a full refund will be made provided. Products must be returned unused and in the same condition and packaging as received, with all of the barcode tags intact, within 28 days of your receipt of the goods for an exchange or refund. At present, we are accepting orders back 28 days after Christmas Day for exchange only on items purchased in December. All returns must include a completed returns form. Failure to comply with our returns process may result in a delay with your request being processed or accounted for. 

Bespoke items or goods made to the customers specification, such keyed alike door cylinders, extra keys for cylinders or keys cut to code are non-refundable, unless wrongly supplied or faulty.

4.2 Please ensure you keep the proof of postage for your return. We are not liable for any items that go missing.

It is advised that you use a recorded service so the parcel can be tracked. Meridian Security does not refund any return postage paid.

4.3 You may request replacement products, which we will dispatch to you (subject to availability) on receipt of the original products which were not satisfactory from you. The returned items will be exchanged and a new order will be sent out. Any exchanges must be claimed within 1 month of the date the exchange is agreed. We do not exchange Bespoke items or goods made to the customers specification.

4.4 Return of faulty or damaged goods should be made in accordance with the arrangements detailed in the returns form which accompanied your chosen products.

4.5 All returns must be sent back with a returns form including your order number, your name, product details and reason for return. All items must be returned in their original packaging, unused, undamaged and with all of the barcode tags intact. Returns must be packaged in waterproof packaging with our returns address clearly marked on the parcel, Meridian Security does not refund postage and packaging costs for the return. We request that customers do not tape, mark or write on product boxes or packaging. Failure to follow these instructions may result in a delay in processing your return. If you have not received a returns form with your order, please download a form from the delivery and returns section of the site.

4.6 For free promotional items: all promotions items, whether won or received together with an original purchase is not returnable on its own for a refund.

4.7 For items bought that includes a free promotional item: in the event of a return for refund, the customer is expected to return the promotional item together with the original item bought otherwise the retail price of the promotional item will be deducted from the refund amount.

4.8 Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 we reserve the right to refuse a refund claim for reasons already stated in our terms and conditions.


5.1 The terms of this, Our Agreement with You, shall govern our contract to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions.

5.2 Any typographical clerical or other error or omission in any sales literature price list acceptance of offer or other document or information issued by us is subject to amendment by us where reasonable in all of the circumstances to do so.

5.3 You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your Order and the details provided in your Order Form.

5.4 The quantity and description of your chosen products shall be those set out in the Order Form unless we subsequently agree otherwise.


6.1 the price of the Goods shall be the price quoted by us on our Website next to the illustration/description of your chosen products, unless agreed otherwise by us in writing.

6.2 The price is inclusive of any payable value added tax in the UK unless otherwise stated. Customers outside the EU will automatically receive a 12% discount off the cost of the goods.

6.3 Buy One Get One Free. Add an item to your shopping basket from a buy one gets one free promotional catalogue and you may add a further item from the same catalogue at no extra charge. The cheaper of the two items will be free. Items from different promotions cannot be mixed - for the purposes of calculating the free item; items must come from the same promotion. If you cancel the full price item in your basket prior to dispatch, the free item will revert to full price as currently displayed on the site. Returns of combination purchases ("buy one, get one free" or "get the lowest priced item free"), you must return any free items or vouchers back with the product for us to process a refund.


7.1 Risk of damage to or loss of your chosen products shall pass to you on delivery of them.

7.2 Notwithstanding delivery and the passing of risk in your chosen products or any other provision of this Agreement property in your chosen products shall not pass to you until we receive cleared funds payment in full of the price of your chosen products.


8.1 We warrant that you will be entitled to the benefit of any warranties or guarantee given by you the suppliers to us of your chosen products. Manufacturer's warranties vary on each product and Information supplied by manufacturers is subject to change without notice This does not affect your statutory rights. 

8.2 You warrant that the information entered onto the Order Form is true.

8.3 Where we sell to you under a consumer transaction (as defined by the Consumer Transactions (Restrictions on Statements) Order 1976) your statutory rights are not affected by this Agreement.



We shall not be liable to you or be deemed to be in breach of this Agreement by reason of any delay in performing or any failure to perform any of our obligations if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond our reasonable control. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing the following shall be regarded as causes beyond our reasonable control: -

9.1 Act of God explosion flood tempest fire or accident;

9.2 war or threat of war sabotage insurrection civil disturbance or requisition;

9.3 acts restrictions regulations bye-laws prohibitions or measures of any kind on the part of any governmental parliamentary or local authority;

9.4 import or export regulations or embargoes;

9.5 strikes lock-outs or other industrial actions or trade disputes (whether involving employees of us or of a third party);

9.6 power failure or breakdown in machinery.


10.1 if any provision of this Agreement is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part the validity of the other provisions of this Agreement and the remainder of the provision in question shall not be affected thereby.

10.2 The Contract shall be governed by the laws of England

Certain products due to their size and/or weight (such as safes) may be subject to additional delivery costs. Items over 24kg will incur and further £10 charge. (and every subsequent 24kg)
